Greetings,

The vision for The Youth Career Coach Inc. came to me while sitting in my office as the Assistant Human Resource Manager for one of the largest retail companies in the United States. I sat in my chair looking at a group of teenagers standing outside my office door in clothes that did not fit, with voices so loud I could hear every word of the conversation and without a resume but nonetheless, asking for a job. It was at that point that I made the decision to take action.

First, it began with interviews turning into coaching sessions, using library space to meet students to edit resumes and then winning Miss Black Rhode Island through the Miss Black USA Organization ,which enabled me to have a platform of career coaching for our youth. This ultimately led me to answer the question someone asked of me, How do you want to be remembered? I replied, as The Youth Career Coach!

It is my lifelong passion and vision to impact our youth across these United States to become self-confident and market-ready.

The time is now that we should turn our attention and focus our energy within the areas of education attainment and career readiness. It is essential for the many parents that reach out to me seeking advice on preparing their children to be career minded, and college students seeking advice on the application process, and internships & interviewing, that they have support. In addition, to the many professionals that seek my guidance  regarding returning to school and/or going for that promotion.

As a long time advocate of 'Career Readiness' I felt it crucial at this moment when 60-70% of all jobs in the next decade will require a college degree that I reach out to you in order to ask you to support me in delivering this message. Our children need this training whether its interview prep, industry research, continuing education, networking, self-esteem building, professional image consulting or my recent topic 'Are you Money Smart' Tips Every Young Person Needs To Know.' Our students can't go another day without access to this training if we want to remain competitive in this global society.
